Canton Obituary: Patricia Whitney, 80

Patricia A. (Kelly) Whitney, 80, of Unionville, died Monday, November 23, 2015 at Cherry Brook Health Care Center in Canton.

She was born February 18, 1935 in Hartford, daughter of the late James and Thelma (Levy) Kelly and had lived in East Hartford prior to moving to Unionville eight years ago. Mrs. Whitney was a Clerk at Shop Rite Grocery Store in West Hartford and Manchester for over 30 years prior to her retirement. Patricia enjoyed bowling, the casinos and traveling.

She is survived by her two daughters, Jacqueline Hanson and her husband Philip of Unionville and Patti Ann Masse of New Hartford; her four sons, William Whitney and his wife Yvonne of Canton, Peter Whitney of Rhode Island, K.C. Whitney of Tennessee and Jay Whitney of Salinas, CA; nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Norman E. Whitney.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Cherrybrook Healthcare for their excellent, loving care.

There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 27th the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton. Burial will be private.
