Canton To Offer Folks A Place To Chill
The Town of Canton announced Tuesday it will open up a cooling center in anticipation of this week's expected heat wave.
CANTON, CT — Like many towns in the area, the Town of Canton Tuesday announced it is opening up a cooling center in anticipation of this week's expected heat wave.
Temperatures are expected to be well into the 90s and the humidity is expected to be high.
As a result, the town will open the Canton Library/Community Center, 40 Dyer Ave., to be a "cooling center this week during these dog days of summer."

Town officials are asking folks to "please take advantage of the air conditioning at this location, during normal business hours, to cool down if needed."
