CANTON, CT — Canton officials this week announced holiday impacts due to the upcoming Christmas and New Year's Day holidays.

Like all towns, Canton Town Hall and other offices, as well as the Canton Public Library, will be closed on Monday, Dec. 25, for Christmas and Monday, Jan. 1, for New Year's day.

The town's transfer station will be open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the holiday week.

Canton public schools have a half day on Friday, Dec. 22, with school off Monday, Dec. 25, through Monday, Jan. 1.

Normal town and school operations resume on Tuesday, Jan. 2.
