Canton Officials: Watch Out For Street Sweepers

CANTON, CT — Confident the town can put the snowplows away until later in the year, Canton officials are now telling motorists to watch out for street sweepers.

On Monday, the Canton Department of Public Works began street-sweeping operations to clean up the roadways for the warm weather.

This, officials said, will be ongoing throughout town for "several weeks."

So far, the sweeping operations have already started in the historic Collinsville section of town.

"Please drive slowly and proceed with caution when you see the DPW crew out sweeping," wrote the town recently.
