CANTON, CT — A local resident recently walked into a Canton gas station, purchased a scratch-off ticket, and went to bed that night as a very happy person.

That's because this lucky individual scratched off a $30,000 prize playing the 30X Cash 10th Edition game, according to the Connecticut Lottery Corp.

The winning ticket was purchased on Jan. 11 at the Canton Citgo station, 232 Albany Turnpike, according to lottery officials.

This particular game costs $30 to play and the maximum payout is $30,000 — still a nice investment if you win.
