Canton Resident's Mall Trip Leads To Big Scratch-Off Payout

Bought ticket at a Danbury gas station.

CANTON/DANBURY, CT — A Canton resident's trip to the Danbury Fair Mall area last week resulted in a lottery game payout that more than made up for the cost of gas to go there.

According to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., Canton resident Elias Bourjaili won $25,000 playing the $500,000 Extravaganza! Second Edition scratch-off game on Tuesday, Jan. 24.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Danbury Fair Mall's Exxon station, according to the lottery corporation.

The full payout for the game, according to the state, is $500,000, but considering it costs $20 to play, a $25,000 win is more than profitable.
