Canton PD and FD Issue Call For Clear Address Numbers

CANTON, CT — The Canton police and fire departments are urging folks to make sure their properties have clearly visible property numbers.

This way, according to authorities, responders in town will be able to quickly and easily see where an emergency may be happening.

According to a town social media post by both departments, numbers should be visible from the street, reflective and be at least 3 inches in height.

Property owners should also post, if possible, on the mailboxes and/or light posts on their parcel.

The town, even, recommends that snow plow barriers also feature addresses.
