Canton Road Slated For Closure Friday
The roadway will be closed to traffic for much of the day.
CANTON, CT — A section of one local road will be shut down to traffic on Friday, May 12, so it can get a makeover.
Canton officials Thursday said Canton Springs Road (from Dowd to the firehouse) will be closed for road maintenance.
The hours of closure are from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Motorists are asked to use caution in that area and only emergency vehicle will be allowed to pass.
Other vehicles, town officials said, must find alternate routes.
