Canton Roadway To Close For The Day For Paving: Police

CANTON, CT — Drivers in Canton should plan for detours on Wednesday as Washburn Road closes to through traffic for roadway improvements.

The Canton Police Department announced that Washburn Road will be closed on Wednesday, July 29, beginning at 7 a.m. for milling and paving work on the bridge approach areas.

The closure is expected to remain in effect until 3 p.m., though officials said the work could continue later if necessary.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and allow extra travel time to avoid delays while the project is underway.

Police thanked residents and travelers for their patience and cooperation during the roadway work.
