Canton Town, School Facilities Closed For MLK Holiday

CANTON, CT — Town and school officials this week reminded residents that schools and municipal facilities will be closed for the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

Monday, Jan. 16, is the federally recognized holiday honoring the slain civil rights leader.

As a result, all Canton town offices and the Canton Public Library will be closed on Monday, as is the Canton Community Center.

Meanwhile, all Canton public school facilities will be closed for the holiday on Monday.

All town and school operations are slated to reopen as normal on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
