Canton Unveils July 4 Holiday Weekend Impacts

CANTON, CT — With the Fourth of July holiday falling on a Thursday this year, how it impacts municipal operations in a given municipality is likely to vary.

Recently, Town of Canton officials announced their closings/operations schedule for the long holiday weekend. Included are:

• All Canton town offices, the transfer station, and the library will be closed on Thursday, July 4, due to the Independence Day Holiday.

• The transfer station will be open Tuesday, July 2, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Saturday, July 6, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
