Canton Valley Dental Walks for a Good Cause
Charles J. Keefe, DMD and Melissa Porter, RDH walk the 2015 Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk to raise $4000 for cancer research
On September 27th, Dr. Charles J. Keefe and Melissa Porter, RDH from Canton Valley Dental walked the full Boston Marathon route to raise money in support of the Jimmy Fund. The Jimmy Fund supports the fight against cancer at Boston’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, raising funds for adult and pediatric cancer care and research to improve the chances of survival for cancer patients around the world. We have all been touched at some point by cancer and walks like this not only bring awareness, but also funds that are necessary to help find a cure for cancer. Together, they raised over $4,000 and the team they were a part of, raised over $110,000 to support cancer research.
