Catalyst Counseling of Connecticut Uses Their Waiting Room as an Art Gallery
The counseling center invites more local artists to contribute

Catalyst Counseling of Connecticut, LLC hosted their first event this past Friday which was a successful Open House, attended by family, friends, neighbors, and local community service providers. One of their guests most complemented on aspects of their center was their waiting room which dually functions as a miniature art gallery; "it's a place where we can bring some outside community in, and show off some local talent" says Kelly Taylor, Co-Owner/Therapist. Her and Co-Owner/Therapist Lauren Johnson believe in the importance of representing their shared ideal, that bringing local people together in various ways creates a connectedness that fosters wellbeing and healing; "we like the idea of being a holding place for inspiration and expression that doesn't always involve talking" explains Johnson. The owners require that artists frame or prepare their work for display as well as set their own sale prices that are paid in full to the artists by local buyers. The owners invite the public to view their social media page and website to learn more about the local artists contributing to their art gallery waiting room. They also ask that anyone interested in displaying their work or visiting the gallery without obstructing client privacy contact them via e-mail (Kelly.Taylor@CatalystCounselingCT.Com) or telephone (860-259-4441)
