Chancellors Pride: 5 Unforgettable Athletes From Canton High School
From local fields to national fame, these stars got their start in Canton.

Sports run deep in Canton, and Canton High School has long been at the heart of it. It’s no surprise some standout talent once wore the Warriors uniform. Today we're celebrating five unforgettable athletes from Chatsworth High School who made a name for themselves well beyond the hometown field.
1. Ethan Titus - All-American Wrestler
A stellar athlete during his high school career, Ethan Titus became the first wrestler in Canton High School history to earn All-American honors and was the ninth ever All-American student-athlete in school history. 2. David Vaudreuil - Former MLS Soccer Player
A stand-out Warrior and All-American during his high school career, David Vaudreuil helped lead his team to a state championship before continuing his career at Princeton University and then the MLS. 3. Chelsea Mitchell - Former State Track Athlete of the Year
One of the more recent additions to this list, Chelsea dominated during her time at Canton High School, collecting 11 state championships in the sprints and jumps. Mitchell competed at The College of William & Mary for two years and is currently at Belmont University. (Sources: Belmont Bruins, Tribe Athletes)
4. Abby Charon - Former All-American and Team Captain###/h3Uconn Huskies)
Abby Charon was a four-year varsity letter winner under Coach Sean Cole, a two-time All-State recipient and a one-time All-American. She was also a four-year letter awardee for basketball and a 1,000 scorer during her tenure at Canton High School. Charon continued her career at UConn, where she started 16 games and was a member of the All-Big East Second Team. (Source: Uconn Huskies)

5. Evan Howard - Division III Defenseman of the Year
Evan Howard was a stellar athlete for Canton High, as well as his club team, the Newington Nor’easters. With the Warriors, Howard was First Team All-State, All-Conference and helped lead the team to be Conference Champions.
