Cherry Brook Garden Club Program at Canton Community Center

Oct. 14, 11:00 am. Community Room, Canton Community Center, Amy Sampson, landscape designer, "Sustainable Landscaping" Visitors welcome

Amy Sampson, owner of AES Landscape Design and Consultation in Cheshire, CT will talk on “Sustainable Landscaping: Natives and Alternatives.” Amy has taught landscape design and horticulture courses at Naugatuck Valley Community, as well as for the CT Master Gardener Continuing Education Program. She is the landscape design instructor of the CT Nursery & Landscape Association’s Accreditation Program and also conducts talks for nurseries, garden clubs, and horticulture-related groups throughout Connecticut. Her talk will include:

- Sustainable Landscaping Goals (and ways toward achieving them);

- Understanding Typical Microclimates (based on sun and wind patterns);
