Dates to Note on the Canton School Calendar

CANTON, CT — Summer may not officially be over for another month, but summer vacation is about to end for Canton students, who return to school in less than two weeks.

Here are six important dates to note on the 2016-17 Canton Public Schools calendar:

• Aug. 25, 2016 - first practice day for fall sports
• Aug. 30, 2016 - first day of classes for students
• Dec. 26, 2016 through Jan. 2, 2017 - winter break
• Feb. 20-21, 2017 - Presidents Day weekend
• Apr. 10-14, 2017 - April break
• June 21, 2017 - last scheduled day of classes
