Dentfix Owner: Improvements On Track For Memorial Day
Retail location likely to open this month.
The Dentfix Express building at 16 Maple Ave. has been the site of much activity over the past few weeks. Owner Steve Roberto has hired roofing, paving and additional contractors as he prepares to open the retail location.
During the process, he has discovered some surprises such as molding that had been hidden under a secondary roof on the building. On Monday, workers from Franklin Painting were busy caulking, restoring and painting the molding.
As he returns it to more of its historical look, Roberto said he would love some old photographs of the building if anyone has any. While he has seen some that show the business from a distance or the rear, he hopes to find a close-up of the front of the building. Contact him at 860-693-3368 or steve@dentfixexpress.com.

Another change has been some additional curbing designed to curtail the amount of vehicles that use the parking lot of the business as a cut-through between Maple Avenue and Route 179. He estimates a good 25 to 30 cars a day had been cut through the lot, still accessible from its lower end.
Roberto said the improvements are on track with the goal he stated this past winter.

"The project should be done by Memorial Day weekend," he said.
Roberto, however, plans to open the retail location sooner, likely this month.
The business performs paintless dent removal and scratch and chip repair. Until now, it's largely been a mobile and wholesale effort.
