Tonight the kitchen will open at the Canton Indoor Golf Center’s Year Roundz Virtual Golf Club.
Food Service Manager Eddie Stimson said the menu is mostly American, with a little English cuisine thrown in.
“Comfort food mainly,” he said.

Options include sliders, fish and chips, clam chowder, paninis, mac and cheese, sandwiches and more. Steak choices will be added in the near future.
The English influence, provided by Stimson, includes Scotch Egg and Sleeping Hogs — similar to "pigs in a blanket" — hot dogs and apple bacon, wrapped in puff pastry and baked golden brown. Dinner items start around $6.99 and many are in the $10 to $15 range. Appetizers and sides are also available.

Owners at the facility were hoping to receive their liquor license from the state Liquor Commission by now, but have not. However, the restaurant will still be open Friday, Jan. 6, 2012 from 5 to 10 p.m. and thereafter. The facility will likely feature a light lunch as well Friday.
Indoor golf center co-owner Chris Maher said that, other than the liquor license, the facility is fully functional. The center’s Glow Cove Blacklight Mini Golf has been open for more than a month now. During the recent school break, business really picked up, with more than 100 visitors a day and as many as 225.
“Vacation week, we did really well,” Maher said.
The Year Roundz simulators opened quietly the day after Christmas and are beginning to catch on.
Rob Seger of Granby works at Miner's of Canton and, since the business supplied many materials for the center, saw it as a work in progress. He’s played mini golf with his kids and, on Thursday night, he virtually golfed the infamous Black Course at Bethpage State Park in New York with friends.
“This is great,” he said.
“It’s so realistic,” added friend Mark Drake of Simbury.
Nate Nadeau of Simsbury plays with the group at places like Simsbury Farms and has travelled to many courses in the country and said the center is a great option, especially in the winter.
“This is definitely cool,” he said.
Year Roundz offers tee times, lessons, leagues and more. It also features a pro shop and putting area.
Co-owner Kevin Ebner said the business is working to get its signs at either end of the Canton Village Plaza lit and hopes to eventually get electricity restored to the large parking lot light. Spring will also bring some landscaping and other improvements.
