The Ethel Walker School Announces 2019 Graduates
Three students from Canton recently received their diplomas from The Ethel Walker School in Simsbury.

SIMSBURY, CT — The Ethel Walker School, an independent college preparatory boarding and day school for girls in Simsbury, has announced three students from Canton graduated as members of its Class of 2019.
While at Walker’s, Lily Johnson won second place for her group project in the high school category of Tiny Earth Network's 2018 November Antibiotic Awareness Campaign. Johnson will attend Temple University in the fall.
Emily Ross served as a captain of varsity volleyball. Ross will attend University of Miami in the
fall.

Hannah Schweitzer was inducted into the Cum Laude Society in recognition of her academic
excellence. Schweitzer served as a co-captain for the school’s robotics team, one of only two
all-girls robotics teams in the state. She also was in the Walker’s student government serving as
head of the judiciary committee. During the school’s annual Prize Night, she earned the Yale
Book Award in 2018 and the Cary Page Memorial Prize for versatility and generous use of
aptitudes for the good of others in 2019. Schweitzer will attend Clarkson University in the fall.
