Dog lovers have long known that dogs know more than they’re letting on.  In The Art of Racing in the Rain, we hear from Enzo, a pooch owned by Denny Swift, a race car driver with lots of challenges in his life, both on and off the track.  Enzo has educated himself by watching television, listening carefully to people talk, and observing the human condition.  As he approaches the end of his life, he has become wise beyond his years.  He has learned, and shares with readers, that life—and race car driving—is about more than going fast.  He uses what he has learned about race car driving to advise about navigating life.
