“Family Story Time: I Love Fish” at Canton Public Library

Canton Public Library continues its Sunday series of Family Story Time programs in February with “I Love Fish,” which celebrates our cute, underwater friends.  There will be fish stories, fishy songs, a fishy short film, and an aquatic craft.  The program begins at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 5.

Among the stories to be heard that day is Hooray for Fish, by Lucy Cousins, a boldly colorful book which takes Little Fish on an underwater journey with friends spotty and striped, curly and whirly, hairy and scary. Full of rhyme and repetition, the tale will capture fish lovers of all ages. Youngsters will have a chance to watch footage from underwater dives without ever getting wet or having to learn how to snorkel.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED for “I Love Fish,” and spaces are limited.  The program is free and for ages 3 and up.  If the “Hooked on Llamas” program scheduled for January 8 was canceled due to snow, the llamas will take over the February slot and the fish will appear at a later date.   Canton Public Library is at 40 Dyer Avenue, Canton.  For information:  (860) 693-5800 or www.cantonpubliclibrary.org
