Geek Zone Science & Technology Programs With Talcott Mountain Science Center At Canton Public Library

 

Thanks to a technology grant from The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, youngsters will have some very exciting science programming this summer on Friday afternoons from July 6 through August 10.  The programs begin at 3:30 PM.

Using our new laptop computer lab, Participants will also be able to use Talcott’s iPad collection.   The programs are geared for different ages and require separate registration.

The schedule is as follows:

July 6              Sound:  Waves, Frequency, and Levels, with iPads

(Grades K-3)

July 13            Sound:  Waves, Frequency, and Levels, with iPads

 (Grade 4 & up)

July 20            Astronomy with StarWalker and iPads (Grades K-3)

July 27            Astronomy with StarWalker and iPads (Grades 4 and up)

August 3         Bubble Magicians (Grades K-5)

August 10       Optical Illusions:  How Your Eyes Fool Your Brain

                                    (Grades 4 and up)
