On Saturday, April 21, Canton Public Library hosts a special program in connection with its celebration of poetry for the month of April. At 2:00 PM, Glyn Dowden will appear as Dylan Thomas, reading some of Thomas’s poetry, performing an excerpt from Under Milk Wood, singing some Welsh songs, and telling a few Welsh jokes.

Glyn Dowden was born in Wales and currently lives in Granby. He is a member of a local theater and singing group and belongs to The Free Poets Collective, Faxon Poets, and The Windsor Poetry Critique Club. Glyn is an accomplished poet and has performed and read in many venues.

Following the performance there will be a question and answer period and an opportunity to talk with Mr. Dowden, both in and out of character. Refreshments will follow.
