Laurence Juber @ Bridge Street Live

Described by Acoustic Guitar Magazine as "one of the most gifted and versatile fingerstyle guitarists on the scene," Laurence Juber grew up in North London and took up the guitar at age 11, inspired by the explosive British pop scene of the early '60s.

As a young working musician in London, England in the 1970s, LJ got an extraordinary, life-changing break when Paul McCartney picked him to become Wings’ lead guitarist. Juber spent three years recording and touring with the band. During that time he won a Best Rock Instrumental GRAMMY® for the track "Rockestra" from the Wings album "Back To The Egg."

After Wings disbanded, Juber moved to Los Angeles and embarked on a career as a solo artist, composer and arranger, soon developing a reputation as a world-class guitar virtuoso. He has released 14 critically acclaimed solo albums, including "LJ Plays the Beatles," "Guitarist," "One Wing" and "PCH." His solo CD, "Pop Goes Guitar," includes the arrangement of "Stand By Me" that was heard nationally in the De Beers 'Diamonds Are Forever' commercial. His new release 'Wooden Horses', is loaded with groove-driven originals shaded in jazz, blues, rock and folk flavors.
