In March, Canton Public Library showcases the new film Hop as part of its “Movie on the Big Screen” series. On Sunday, March 25, the show starts at 2:00 PM. Hop is rated PG and is recommended for ages 6 and up.
Everybody knows that Easter candy is made on Easter Island in a special candy factory that employs bunnies and chicks. Hop takes us to the world of bunnies, where The Easter Bunny’s son, E.B., is reluctant to follow in his father’s footsteps—or should it be pawsteps?—and dreams rather of being a drummer. In the world of humans, Fred O’Hare (clearly a bunny pun), is a slacker who, like E.B., is a disappointment to his father. E.B. and Fred meet and become roommates in a borrowed mansion (only in Hollywood). Fred is helped by his bunny buddy to find his path in life. Hop features animation and live action, and entertains with humor, silliness, and slapstick.
For an enjoyable and family-oriented afternoon, Hop is sure to please. The movie is free, with no registration necessary, and is intended for ages 6 and up. And of course there will be free hot popcorn.
