“PJ Story Time: Horses” at Canton Public Library

            Canton Public Library’s first PJ Story Time for September is “Horses,” so don your favorite PJ’s and join us for a galloping good time.  The story time will be held on Wednesday September 12, beginning at 6:30 PM, and will be led by Ms. Betsy.

            Among the stories that may be featured are two bedtime favorites.  In The Perfect Pony by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley, Katie searches for her first pony and discovers that it’s not easy to find the perfect one.  Some are too nervous or too stubborn or too scary or too fast.  Finally she discovers a pony who doesn’t start out looking perfect, but he is.    In Hush, Little Horse by Jane Yolen, little horses throughout the world are nurtured, comforted, and protected by their steadfast mamas.

PJ Story Time runs from 6:30-7:30 PM.  Youngsters will enjoy stories, songs, a snack, a craft, and a short movie to round out the experience.  PJ Story Times, which are for children 3 and up,  are free, but REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.  Canton Public Library is at 40 Dyer Avenue, Canton.  For information:  (860) 693-5800 or www.cantonpubliclibrary.org
