“Special Story Time: The Velveteen Rabbit” At Canton Public Library

As part of the “Real Toys” exhibit at Canton Public Library, a special story time will be offered during vacation week, on Friday, April 20.  The “Special Story Time:  The Velveteen Rabbit,” with guest reader Ron Todd, is for children, but not exclusively for children.  The story time begins at 10:30 AM and is appropriate for ages 4 and up.  Youngsters are encouraged to bring along their own beloved “real toys.”

The 1922 book by Margery Williams is a children’s classic.  In it, a toy rabbit yearns to become “real” through a child’s love.  The special story time will also feature a short, eight-minute film version of the book.
