The Spring Valley Puppet Theater combines delightful original scripts, appealing characters, and beautifully hand-crafted puppets for highly entertaining puppet theater. The productions, which are drawn from fairy tales, folktales, and fables, feature hand and rod puppets. A highlight of each production is an exciting behind-the-scenes look at the technique and artistry behind the magic.

“The Three Wishes” retells the popular folktale which poses the question: “What would you do if a magical elf gave you three wishes?” Puppets Henry and Gretchen entertain us with humor and plot twists as they make their wishes and live with the consequences.
“A Holiday Fantasy” is an original story featuring enchanted toys, fairy magic, a clever mouse, and some delightful surprises. Featuring the music of Massenet, Glazunov, Lecocq and others, the program might best be described as puppet ballet.
The Spring Valley Puppet Theater is free and for ages 5 and up. (Children under the age of 5 must be seated with an adult. If a child becomes restless or needs to take a break, the adult and child will be able to leave the performance space for a while and return when the child is ready to enjoy the show again.)
