After months of planning, the sixth season of the Collinsville Farmers Market gets off the ground Sunday.
“We’re really excited,” said Mary Engvall, marketing chairperson and vendor liaison for the market.
The market is a project of the Canton Advocates for Responsible Expansion and volunteers with the group have been busy planning for months.

About 20 vendors will be featured this year, including old favorites like The Berry Patch, Deeply Rooted Farm, Cupola Hollow Farm, Maple View Farm, Boxed Goodes, Wild Carrot Farm, Gresczyk Farm, Hayward Farm, Lamothe’s Sugar House, Balladoo Orchids, Hard Rain Farm and the Canton Historical Museum.
New vendors include Larson’s Garden Center and Collinsville Baking Company, which will alternate with a popular guest vendor from last year, Blue Moon Farm. Blue Moon offers locally and naturally raised beef, poultry and pork. Two other guest vendors, Poor Me Tea and Salsa Loca, will also be part of this year’s market on a regularly alternating schedule starting in July.

Craft vendors Bittersweet Ridge and Sunfleur Productions will be featured at the market early and late in the season.
The market will run from 10am to 1 pm every Sunday until Oct. 23.
The market also features live music, starting with Bill Benson and Friends this weekend.
The event began in the parking lot below the Collinsville Historical Museum with just five vendors.
“It’s grown steadily since then,” market committee member Alan Weiner said.
