AVON, CT: The Farmington Valley Visitors Association (FVVA) is devilishly pleased to present its Seventh Annual Haunted Miniature Golf fundraiser, beginning October 16th at the Farmington Miniature Golf & Ice Cream Parlor. Come enjoy 19 holes of hair-raising fun with villainous vampires, wicked witches, spooky skeletons and spine-chilling surprises – join in the fear-fest by coming in costume! This signature event draws thousands of people statewide to the valley each October – bring the family and see what the fun is all about!
For two full weekends, Halloween will possess you like never before, as the Farmington Miniature Golf and Ice Cream Parlor morphs into a fiendishly fun adventure for all ages. Roam through a haunted graveyard, visit Dracula’s Fountain and the Haunted Pirate’s Tavern, and meet countless creepy creatures of the night. Delight in free treats like face painting and photos with “Garish the Ghoul,” and sharpen your fangs for the famed Donut Dangle, with delicious fresh donuts generously donated by ShopRite of Canton and West Hartford. Halloween sweets, hot cider and balloons will be available at the Ice Cream Parlor, where participants will also be eligible for a special Kindle Fire door prize.
The Farmington Miniature Golf & Ice Cream Parlor is located at 1048 Farmington Avenue (Rte 4) in Farmington, CT. Haunted Miniature Golf will be held at the following times: Thursdays & Fridays (10/16-17 & 10/23-24) 4-9 pm, Saturdays (10/18 & 10/25) 11 am-9 pm, and Sundays (10/19 & 10/26) 11 am-8 pm.
Admission is $10 per person. Advance ticket sales are not required and all credit cards are accepted. Proceeds from Haunted Miniature Golf will benefit the Farmington Valley Visitors Association, a non-profit corporation, whose mission is to serve as a resource for valley residents, and promote their eight Farmington Valley towns (Avon, Burlington, Canton, East Granby, Farmington, Granby, New Hartford, Simsbury) to individuals and businesses interested in relocating to the area and tourists wishing to visit all that the Farmington Valley has to offer. FVVA’s members include historic sites, recreational sites, farms, lodging, shopping areas, restaurants, and many other professional and specialty businesses. The organization’s Historic Sites group presents fascinating lectures and bus tours featuring one-room schoolhouses, working farms, historic taverns and more. Every year, FVVA publishes its Guide to the Farmington Valley, distributing 50,000 copies throughout the valley, the state of Connecticut and beyond, including 19 foreign countries in 2013.
