Canton FD Seeks Recruits At Thursday Event

CANTON, CT — The Canton Fire & EMS Department is still looking for volunteers to help keep an eye on community safety, with last week's recruiting drive event now rescheduled for this week.

The department is slated to host a recruiting drive event on Thursday, Aug. 17, at 5:30 p.m. at Mills Pond Park, 14 E. Hill Road, Canton.

Last week, fire officials cancelled the program due to expected rainstorms that evening.

So far, Thursday's weather forecast doesn't appear too foreboding.
