Fires at Kennedy Elementary School Playground Appear to be Intentionally Set: Police
BREAKING: Police will perform extra checks at the school and all other Canton public schools.
CANTON, MA — Police are investigating after two small fires in the playground area of Kennedy Elementary School on Dedham Street appear to have been intentionally set.
According to Canton police, police and fire units were dispatched for the report of a small fire around 8 a.m. in the playground area. When authorities arrived on scene, they discovered that two fires appeared to have been intentionally set.
Both fires were small and contained to a dumpster and a mulched area of the playground. Officers will be making extra checks of the school and all other Canton Public Schools. The incident was quickly contained and there is no danger to students, police said.
