Free Child Car Seat Safety Clinic Slated In Canton
Canton police will offer free car seat inspections and installation assistance early next week at the Canton Fire Department.
CANTON, CT — Parents and caregivers can have their children's car seats inspected and get help with proper installation during a free safety clinic in Canton next week.
The Canton Police Department will host its 2026 Child Safety Seat Clinic Monday, Sept. 21, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Canton Fire Department Station No. 1, 51 River Road.
Certified child passenger safety technicians will be available to inspect car seats, help caregivers install them properly, and provide information about safely transporting children.

No appointment is required, and walk-ins are welcome. \
For those who prefer to schedule ahead, appointments are available in half-hour increments by contacting Canton police dispatch.

The clinic is free and will be held rain or shine.
Police said the event is intended for both new parents and others who want to make sure their child's car seat is installed and being used correctly.
