Fun Ways For Canton Kids To Get Their Reading Done While Home On A Snow Day

So it's a snow day and the kids are bouncing off the walls. At the same time, they have to get their reading done for school.

Here are 10 ways to make it fun, courtesy of the January reading log from Vernon Public Schools:

1. Get a towel, spread it out and pretend it's the beach.
2. Read to a stuffed animal.
3. Read with mittens on.
4. Read in a dark place with a flashlight.
5. Read while wearing a winter hat.
6. Take a book under the kitchen table.
7. Read in a singing voice.
8. Read in an empty (and dry) bath tub.
9. Make a blanket fort and read inside it.
10. Read in front of a mirror.
