Guiding Light Orphanage Donor Appreciation Event - All are invited!

Guiding Light Orphanage (GLO) would like to invite all friends of GLO and those interested in learning more about the organization to celebrate its first medical mission to rural Uganda and the opening of its clinic for at-risk children. Festivities will include prizes, drawings, drinks, wine tasting, delicious hors d’oeuvres and sweet delights thanks to the generous support of our local partners: The Rotary Club, ShopRite of Canton, TCBY, Super Cellars and Avon Prime Meats.

Other sponsors at the event include Dr. Energy Saver and the Pampered Chef.

Dr. Energy Saver is giving every home and condo owner a FREE home comfort check-up! This energy audit will help you find where your home is wasting resources. As a thank you for caring, for every person who has a FREE comfort check-up, Dr. Energy Saver will donate $25 to GLO in your name.

We will also have Pampered Chef consultant, Brenda Rossignol, who will provide tasty treats as well as a Pampered Chef demonstration and an opportunity to order Pampered Chef Products. Brenda has pledged that 25% of proceeds for orders taken at the event will be donated to GLO.

In February, 2014, the leadership team traveled to rural Uganda on a medical mission helping 300 children with immunizations, medication, HIV/AIDS and Malaria testing, and other life sustaining critical services.

In addition GLO has partnered with the local Ugandan church to open a medical clinic that will provide free basic health care for children under five, mothers and pregnant women.

Guiding Light Orphanage, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing support to HIV/AIDS orphans and critically vulnerable children in rural Uganda in the District of Masindi. These children receive free, basic health care, and the knowledge and skills to promote self-sustainability with the goal of breaking the vicious cycle of chronic hunger and poverty.
