Halloween Celebration Starts Saturday In Canton

The annual Collinsville Trick or Treat event in downtown Collinsville is on Saturday, Oct. 14.

CANTON, CT — Halloween used to be a single-day holiday on Oct. 31.

But as one Canton event attests, the scary and fun holiday has evolved into a month-long season, with the first community salvo of Halloween happening locally on Saturday, Oct. 14.

That's because the fourth annual Collinsville Trick or Treat event will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. featuring costumed kids and families looking for sweet treats from downtown Collinsville businesses.
