Magnesium is an important factor in our diet. Without it problems can arise and because they may be subtle, they can be overlooked. Let me share a little about magnesium and what it does for us.
What does our body use magnesium for? Our body uses magnesium for lots of things like regulating our heart’s rhythms, normalizing our blood pressure, and relieving muscle pains we may have. It can be used for PMS symptoms and hypertension. This mineral is also used in the role of supporting osteoblast (bone –forming cells) function because over half of the body’s magnesium stores are in our bones. This helps to support good bone health from growing bones to strengthening the bones of a person suffering with osteoporosis. And because it aids in addressing of muscle pain and weakness, it can be used in the treatment of fibromyalgia.
