As the leaves fell this autumn, I saw what looked to be a humongous hornets home. It was an approximately 14 inches high oblong nest. Through rain, sleet, ice and snow, just like our faithful mail-people, it endured. I was beginning to wonder if it would ever come down. Here it is in three pieces, on a gorgeous, sunny, mild winter day.
