Join Hoffman and NBC Connecticut to Give Kids Smiles with your Miles!

Doesn't it warm your heart to see a child smile and come alive when they have an amazing experience? We feel that way too! Hoffman Auto Group is partnering with NBC Connecticut to help make wishes come true for kids and their families with NBC's Miles For Smiles campaign, benefiting Make-A-Wish Foundation.

On Thursday, January 19, 2017 NBC Connecticut will host their annual Miles for Smiles Telethon from 7 am – 8 pm. Join Hoffman employees, the NBC team and other caring volunteers and call in to donate your unused
airline miles. Miles can be donated from participating airlines: United Airlines, Delta, American, Southwest and JetBlue. Monetary donations are also welcome!

Make-A-Wish needs more than 2.5 billion frequent flier miles every year to cover the cost of wish travel for wish kids and their families.

A few of the many interesting facts about Make-A-Wish:

• They grant a wish, on average, every 35 minutes!
• Since 1980, more than 270,000 children in the USA have had their wishes fulfilled
• To qualify, a child must have been diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition and be older than 2 ½ years of age.
• Parents and volunteers observe that a wish come true makes kids feel stronger and more energetic.
• Volunteers feel an increased sense of compassion and desire to help others in their community, trust others more and feel more optimistic about the future.
• Wish kids and their parents experience more happiness and less fear in their lives and 96% say the wish experience strengthened their families.
• Wish kids are empowered to take back control of their lives and fight the medical condition.
