July 4 Holiday Impacts On Services Announced In Canton

CANTON, CT — Local officials this week announced the impacts associated with town services due to the July 4 holiday next week.

The Fourth of July is Tuesday and all Canton Town Offices, the Canton Library/Community Center and the town's transfer station will be closed that day. They will be open as normal on Monday, July 3.

The Canton Food Bank's holiday hours differ slighting as the food bank is closed both Monday, July 3, and Tuesday, July 4.

The food bank will then open Wednesday, July 5, from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. for special holiday hours.

The normal hours of the food bank, located at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 55 River Road, are Mondays (6 to 7 p.m.) and Tuesdaysn (7:30 to 11:30 a.m.) Those resume the week after.
