Melinda Harvey, CPDT-KA of Kokopelli Dog Training will be teaching group classes at Petals and Paws in Canton, beginning September 9. Harvey, a Canton resident, is the only nationally Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Knowledge Assessed in the Farmington Valley. With over 18 years training experience using positive reinforcement, Melinda was previously the trainer at Four Paws Only in Canton, and currently teaching classes at Sand Rd. Animal Hospital in Falls Village. She, along with Deanna Nickels, ABCDT will be offering a variety of daytime and evening group classes including S. T.A.R. puppy kindergarten, Family manners I and II, Focusing on Focus, Out and About, Intro to Dog Sports, Canine Good Citizen and Rally obedience. These classes focus on the relationship between you and your dog and include learning through games, tricks and fun exercises.
