Dr. Andrew J. Kuhlberg is pleased to announce that Dr. Christopher Murphy has joined the practice. Born and raised in New England, Dr. Murphy is excited to be practicing orthodontics and considers himself fortunate to be in a position that enables him to improve the lives of the patients he treats by helping them maintain their oral health and obtain the smile they have always dreamed of having.
Dr. Murphy recognizes that each patient is unique and has very specific treatment needs. As a board certified orthodontist his aim is to provide his patients with personalized and effective treatment options tailored to meet those needs.

Dr. Murphy graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Biology from Providence College in 2004. Following research completed at Brown University Medical School and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine he attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine where he received his DMD in 2010 and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society. Dr. Murphy went on to receive his Masters of Dental Science degree and certificate in orthodontics in 2013 from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. In 2014 Dr. Murphy successfully completed the voluntary, rigorous examination process offered through The American Board of Orthodontics, the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association and sponsored by the American Association of Orthodontists. He has spoken at numerous national conferences and has several articles published in peer reviewed scientific journals.

Outside the Office:
When Dr. Murphy is not treating patients he enjoys spending time with friends and family and being outside regardless of the weather. Dr. Murphy is an avid surfer who loves chasing swells up and down the New England coastline. He also enjoys hiking in the Appalachians and snowboarding once the snow starts falling.
