Canton Shopping Destination Hosting L.L. Bean's 'Bootmobile'

CANTON, CT — If you see a giant boot on wheels in Canton this weekend, you haven't had too much eggnog.

Rather, its merely part of L.L. Bean's "Mobil Retail Experience," a pop-up retail establishment giving holiday shoppers the chance to purchase L.L. Bean gear and do so in a fun and entertaining atmosphere.

The pop-up store and L.L. Bean's famous 13-foot high, 20-foot long Bootmobile (which looks like a giant L.L. Bean boot) will be at The Shops at Farmington Valley in Canton, 110 Albany Turnpike.

The attraction will be in Canton on Saturday, Dec. 17, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

"In celebration of its 110th anniversary, heritage outdoor retailer L.L.Bean is putting its mobile retail experience back on the road, bringing the company’s most iconic products to the Canton community," reads an announcement of the visit.

Attendees are encouraged to snap photos with Bootmobile and enter for a chance to win a five-day outdoor discovery trip to Maine, including a two-night kayaking adventure led by expert instructors.
