Large Road Construction Project To Begin In Canton
Motorists are asked to avoid the area while work is ongoing.
CANTON, CT — A two-week road reconstruction project starts in town Tuesday, June 27, and town officials are asking motorists to be wary of that.
According to local leaders Monday, the road reconstruction is on Canton Springs Road between Dowd Avenue and the Canton Springs firehouse.
The work hours are from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Canton officials said it should take two weeks to complete.

As a result, there may be delays due to lane and road closures that might be necessary for the work to progress, officials said.
Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes to avoid and potential traffic disruptions due to the project.
