Learn to Clean House in a Green Way at Canton Library Program
It can be more economical, less wasteful, and safer for the air and water (especially for those sensitive to some cleaning chemicals).

In this new program, learn the many reasons to use “green,” environmentally conscious methods in cleaning your house. On Saturday, November 3, at 10:30 a.m. Canton Public Library will offer a free class on “Green Housekeeping.” We’ll explain how it can be more economical, less wasteful, and safer for the air and water (especially for those sensitive to some cleaning chemicals). Librarian Beth Van Ness will also direct a hands-on activity of making different cleaners for floors or clothes out of white vinegar, baking soda, and essential oils, offer a discussion, and provide a handout to help change housekeeping habits to greener practices.
Please bring your own spray bottle or glass jar to be able to make and take home your own sample cleaners. If you’ve got a cleaning tip of your own, please share it! Registration is requested, and there is no charge for the program. Canton Public Library is located at 40 Dyer Avenue in Canton. For more information, please check the website at www.cantonpubliclibrary.org or call or email Beth Van Ness: (860) 693-5800, and bvanness@libraryconnection.info.
