Make Candles In Canton, Help Rescue Pets

A special candle-making workshop is slated for Thursday, Sept. 28, with some of the proceeds benefiting an animal rescue group.

CANTON, CT — A special candlemaking workshop Thursday will not only provide guests with a relaxing way to spend an evening, they might help rescue a pet or two as well.

Dane Good is a Collinsville-based, canine-theme, online candle and soap retailer founded in 2022.

In addition to selling all sorts of candles, soaps and pet-theme accessories, the company also conducts candle-making workshops where participants can make nicely scented candles themselves.

Dane Candle, named for the company owner's great Dane dog, is hosting a workshop at the Canton Community Center, 40 Dyer Center, Canton, from 6 to 7:15 p.m.

The cost is $55 per person and a portion of the proceeds go to a pet rescue organization.
