CANTON, CT — Here are some recent notable achievements for college students from Canton, as reported by readMedia Newswire.

Curry College, Milton MA

• Daniel Delos and Melissa Shaulis of Canton were named to the Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a 3.30 GPA, have no incompletes, and have no grade lower than a "C" for the semester. Full-time students must carry 12 or more graded credits for the semester.

Springfield College, Springfield MA

• Springfield College has named Emma Ciccarillo of Canton to the dean's list for academic excellence for the spring 2017 term. Ciccarillo is studying Sociology. Criteria for selection to the dean's list requires that the student must have a minimum semester grade point average of 3.500 for the semester.

University of Vermont, Burlington VT

• Jake Barter has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2017 semester at the University of Vermont. Barter, from Canton, is majoring in Civil Engineering in the College of Engineering & Mathematical Sciences. To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.
