Family fitness festival, Carnivale du Canton, yoga and more!

From Canton Parks and Recreation:

Canton Parks and Recreation will be hosting a Family Fitness Festival on Saturday September 27th at Mills Pond Park. The day will include Parks and Recreation and Avon Healthtrax fitness class demos, pre-school sports class demos from Valley Sports, free blood pressure screenings, informational booths from youth sports clubs and wellness organizations, chair massages, music, healthy smoothie samples, and more! The event is completely free and a great way to be outdoors with the family!

We are still looking for local businesses that provide services related to fitness, health and nutrition to join the festival. If you are interested in being involved please contact Joshua Medeiros, Director of Parks and Recreation at jmedeiros@townofcantonct.org or call 860-693-5808.

Canton Parks and Recreation department will be holding an exciting new special event called Carnivale du Canton. The Carnivale will be held at Mills Pond Pool on Saturday August 23rd from 12-4pm . This family fun day will include pool games, floats/noodles, carnival games with prizes, music, snacks/refreshments for sale and special guest Valentine the Clown creating animal balloons in the pavilion from 12-2pm. The event will be a fun filled time for the whole family! Admission is free (bring cash for concessions). Click here for more info.
