NORCOM DONATES TO THE CANTON FOOD BANK FOR THANKSGIVING

For the Thanksgiving holiday, Norcom Mortgage and Insurance donated turkeys, other food, and household items to the Canton Food Bank.

In honor of the Thanksgiving holiday, Norcom Mortgage and Insurance donated turkeys as well as other food and household items to the Canton Food Bank. The Canton Food Bank is a non-profit organization located at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Collinsville, Connecticut that provides food items for Canton residents in need.

James Morin, Senior Vice President of Retail Lending, says, “Norcom Mortgage is a community based lender, so it is important to us that we give back to the communities in which we are a part of. This time of year there is tremendous strain on the food pantries and feeding programs, so it is important for us to step up and donate to our local food banks.”

Norcom had spent the past few weeks before Thanksgiving collecting items and raising money through their Norcom Cares Foundation in order to donate the items needed for these Canton residents to celebrate their Thanksgiving holiday. Fifteen turkeys, along with all of the collected items were donated on November 25th, the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. The Canton Food Bank was very grateful for all the items donated.
