One Potential Town Garage Site Taken Off the Market
Town had planned to appraise property.

A property the town had planned to appraise as a potential site for a new town garage site is currently unavailable, officials said.
In January, the Board of Selectmen had authorized up to $5,000 to appraise the unspecified property.
However, when the town contacted the agent for the property, it was no longer on the market.

"It looks like the property owner is no longer interested in selling the property," Chief Administrative Officer Robert Skinner said.
The Permanent Municipal Building Committee, which has been looking into potential sites for years, will meet again next week to discuss possibilities, including 361 Albany Turnpike, land owned by Canterbury Heights Condominium, the Commerce Center Industrial Park and 5 Cherry Brook Road.

Unfortunately, each site has its challenges, First Selectman Richard Barlow said.
